Mishima Taisha Shrine
Mishima shrine is the one of the great shrines in Tokai area. Minamoto no Yoritomo who is the first shogun in Kamakura shogunate pray the success of the fighting with Heike for regaining the power of control Japan. Therefore, it is popular as a power spot.
Mishima Water Path
There are walking paths all over the river that flow from Mt. Fuji’s spring water. You may get wet when there is a lot of water, but it is a very pleasant street in the hot summer. The small shopping street also has a nice retro atmosphere. In the past, people in the town used to chat while doing laundry in this river. Nowadays, it is a place for children to play in the water and relax.
Rakujyuen Park in Mishima
Rakujuen park where the lava of Mt. Fuji remains in some places, and where the former residence of the imperial family was located.
There is a classic Japanese garden with a pond that uses spring water from Mt. Fuji, and the view of the garden changes depending on the amount of snow on the top of Mt. Fuji in winter.
