Amezaiku

Amezaiku is one of the traditional Japanese candy arts crafts. The candy is softened by heating to around 90 degrees C, is finally crafted with bare hands and cutting, pulling by traditional scissors. Not crafted by chipping or shaving from a block.
It necessary to be finished within a few minutes after removing the candy from the pot, due to the characteristic of candy which is hardened when cooled and softened when heated.

Head to your ‘Amezaiku’ class location near the Sendagi or Asakusa station and wearing the gloves to protect your hands before start times that fit your schedule. You’ll spend most of your class learning the techniques and making to prepare this traditional Japanese candy crat. The class will help give participants a sense of the Amezaiku and make three peace of it.
After the workshop, you can take home the Amezaiku you made.
